Vintage Stromberg G1 Guitar-radio professional owner in Magnolia, TX

1945 Stromberg G1 guitar owned by radio professional Dixie, partner to George Mahoney, known as "George and Dixie, on WNAC and WHDH in Boston, Massachusetts during the 1930s and 40s. Guitar structure is intact and in very good condition considering its age and the fact that it was used and not stored as an antique. Exceptions would be marks or scratches on the neck and body from use and the pick guard has deteriorated over the years which I am reluctant to remove it for fear of damaging the guitar. The G1 is the smaller of the Stromberg guitars - base measures 17.5 inches across versus the 16 inches of many G1s. I'm told this is a good feature. Guitar strings have been removed to avoid rusting; still have the string support (think it is called a bridge). The guitar belonged to my mother and has been stored in its original case in an air conditioned home. It has an original sticker inside the body of the guitar with the serial number 557 from the Stromberg Company on Hanover Street in Boston. I also have the original bill of sale, pictures of my mother and George on stage, and playbills for authenticity. This guitar will come from the only family that owned it. I do not play any instruments and would like this guitar to go to a deserving buyer. I will provide more information as requested and give information to the best of my knowledge. Have been given a range of value based on condition.
